New Dodge Trucks Receive Raves Reviews..

Friday, November 27th, 2009

It really is amazing when you think that we went from the new Dodge Ram in the early 90s to the new SRT10 with plenty of power Used Dodge pickups maintain their value as they age.

A Dodge truck with a 500+hp. Viper Motor or a Ram 3500 with an unmatched Cummings diesel power plant in this day and age. Taking time to fix your used Dodge cars or used Dodge trucks got put on the back burner with a new and improved group of Dodge autos like the new Dodge Ramor new Dodge Charger and of coursethe new Dodge Challenger with an all new redesigned Dodge Hemi.Styling fads come and go, but for now, retro is all the frenzy in Detroit. The expanded 2009 Dodge Challenger assortment competes with the corresponding retro Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro for the hot rod of today.

The thrilling new look of the Ford Mustang kicked off the long ago styling trend among our TOP THREE,
but the 2009 Dodge Challenger with a fast pace takes it up to 11. The new Challenger Dodge is a MUSCLE CAR that Professionals say is available in several various trim levels: a top-spec, SRT8 and cheaper R/T and SE models. Externally, all three contribute to what everyone is calling Hot Wheels styling. The new look of the Dodge Challenger varies somewhat across the lineup, but not as much as on some other vehicles. Professionals, for instance, are thrilled to witness the Challenger SE isn’t totally stripped of Challenger R/T and SRT8 exterior gems and is not a Sunday cruiser. As for the other options, the SE is nearest to the 1970 model that was the clear vision for this novel generation of Dodge Challengers, while the R/T adds fog lamps, 18-inch aluminum rims and tires and a body-color rear spoiler, and the SRT8 is distinguished by faux-carbon-fiber hood strips, xenon lights…a matte black deck spoiler. A modest amount of customization is available with the Dodge Challenger’s external features Dodge can help you with all things from a hood with Ram air to a coil-over suspension kit which drops the car a whopping 1.625 inches

The internal styling of the Dodge Challenger, while hardly as stimulating as the body panels, gets another feather in Dodges Hat in reviews that enthusiast worship.

When Ford unveiled the F-150 SVT Raptor, reviewers were skeptical about the truck’s potential as an off-road vehicle. However, this revolutionary vehicle literally knocked their socks off. Performance is better than expected as the car reaches 100 mph even when off-roading considering it is a street-legal 6000-pound vehicle. bmw X5 for sale

Excellent Suspension

While there is really no comparison between the regular F-150 and the Raptor, what really sets this truck apart from its predecessors and competition is the new suspension system. A Raptor is in very simple terms a wider stock F-150 with specialised suspension. The three-stage, internal-bypass shocks are by Fox Racing. new cars for sale

Off Road Capabilities

The newly designed suspension system combined with the truck’s upgraded drive train and electronic features make the Raptor perfect for off-road driving. On a regular road, the Raptor handles similarly to the regular F-150. However, take the truck off road and you will barely feel the difference. The suspension keeps the truck’s ride smooth and comfortable, even when navigating difficult terrain at high speeds.

In fact, some drivers feel the truck performs better off-road than on the road. The steering is accurate and the ride is smooth, even on rough terrain. With those 35-inch BFGoodrich tires you get good grip on all surfaces and the car rarely touches the ground. Simply press the off-road button and take the truck out on the sand. honda accord for sale

Huge Cosmetic Changes

The raptor looks like an off-road vehicle. Visually the headlights are the only item that looks similar in both cars. Other than that, everything from the hood to the tailgate has been redesigned. A new paint scheme and the popular bright orange color speak of the truck’s off-roading design.

Comfortable on the Road as Well

Some off road vehicles are monsters on the road, but the Raptor is not. No that much different from a regular F-150. This model is surely taller. Besides this obvious visual difference others are harder to spot. For a truck, it has relatively little road noise and tire roar, and the comfortable seating and contoured steering wheel make for a comfortable ride. However, it does feel heavy and underpowered at times, as the F-150 does. Some drivers will notice that the truck under-steers when g-forces are present. To be fair, these negatives are common in most trucks. On the good side most people will find driving this machine relatively simple.

If you are looking for a comfortable truck for day-to-day driving which can also throw sand in the wilderness then this is the car.

Truck and Van Security

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

It is an unfortunate situation that every year thousands of tradesman all over the country have their work vans broken into and all their tools stolen. These tools are often specialized and are very expensive, causing the tradesman to have to spend money on new tools and also lose trade in the mean time as they cannot do their work.  So what are the best ways to protect yourself against this problem?

Take tools out. The simplest way to avoid having your tools stolen overnight is to take them out of the van. This of course may not stop your van being broken into but will stop you losing valuable items. Further more, tools thieves watch the actions of their targets closely and will move on quickly if they see you removing the tools at the end of the day. However, for some people and trades this is just not a viable options and they need to use other tactics.

Sticker. Probably the cheapest way to deter criminals is to put a ‘no tools in this van’ sticker somewhere prominent. Most van contract hire vans come with these on them already and they have much fewer cases of burglary. This is because a thief would much rather choose a van where they are confident there are tools inside than take more of a risk on one they are not sure about. Make sure you hide any tools from view however if you want to rely on this trick

Good security. Vans that have decent security in place already are great deterrents. Citroen van leasing vans are well known for their security so these are a good choice. Thieves tend to know as well which vans can be opened without much effort and which take time. More often than not they will go for the easy picks
