Why Are Ford Putting Prices Up Again?

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Ford are going to be raising the prices of their cars for the fourth year in a row this year which is pretty silly. Choosing a design style and colourways for a financial logo is certainly something that is not easy. However is this really an excuse to put the prices up once again?

Well the real likelihood is, not very likely no simply because they have already put the prices of their cars up three times meaning that now they are really just being a bit greedy more than anything else. it is not really that unheard of for companies such as this taking all of their customers for granted, it happens all of the time. However when you look at another 2.7% increase on a brand new car you are going to be looking at some very big costs indeed as if the car you were after was costing you around £10,000 it would now set you back a whopping £11,600 which is a ridiculous increase on the price.

It is not understandable why companies like this are even starting to justify how they are getting away with this. However companies such as Audi are selling a fair few used cars trying to push through their competitors like Ford. 800 jobs have been lost this year from Ford in the UK and is it really that surprising when you see just how much they are adding to the cost.

So here’s to buying a new Audi over a ford because it looks like the “> Audi R8 are going to be a hell of a lot cheaper than the costs that Ford are beginning to throw at the British public. The best thing to do here is to actually fight the system and just not buy from them.

Spotlight on the 2010 Ford Mustang

One of the most classic and loved cars in all of American history is no doubt the Ford Mustang. Its classic muscle car power and sleek lines have captured the hearts of car lovers for decades. Since its initial release in 1964, Ford knew they had a legend on their hands. Through the years, the Mustang has undergone many design changes but it has held its place on the list of classic American cars.

The Mustang has been in constant production since 1964 but has had many different looks. The second generation Mustang (manufactured in 1974) was designed to cope with stricter pollution laws. The Mustang had another overhaul in 1979 and again in 1994. The Mustang released in 1994 was the first major redesign this model had seen. This model had more modern, aerodynamic lines that strayed a bit from its classic muscle car days.

In 2005, Ford introduced another new, completely redesigned Mustang. This model was more reminiscent of its classic muscle car look with boxy, powerful lines. When this new design was unveiled, interest in this classic car peaked. In the times of hybrids and SUV’s, the new Mustang was a sigh of relief for car lovers everywhere. The 2010 redesign of the Mustang was no different and lived up to this car’s legendary status.

The new 2010 Mustang has kept its boxy, muscle car look but has improved the not-so-noticeable features. The first upgrade the new Mustang received was its interior. The 2010 model has more metallic features, including round dials on the dashboard and an optional Ford/Microsoft Sync system. The exterior got a slight facelift and bears a proud resemblance to the 1969 Mustang. It has a cool four-light grille, beveled bumpers on the front and back and a huge hood scoop.

Underneath the hood, there are some obvious improvements as well. The Mustang runs a cold-air system which trims its 0-60 times, but has not increased its power too much. Previous models had 300 horsepower but the new 2010 model has 315. They have increased the car’s redline however, which has gone from 6250 to 6500rpm. The new Mustang also comes with a stiffer suspension and its standard 18-inch tires have increased its handling.

One of the cooler observations that Car and Driver made about the new Mustang is how it manages to be both quiet and loud at the same time. If you don’t rev the engine, road and wind noise is minimal making for a peaceful ride. However, if you feel the need for speed and rev up your V-8 engine, you can hear the power in surround sound, so to speak. Ford has introduced what is called a “sound induction tube” that connects the intake to the cabin of the car. This tube transmits only certain frequencies while restricting air flow – that’s pretty high-tech!

Another great thing about the new Mustang is the fact that even though Ford has made some improvements, they haven’t increased the price much. A base model V-6 Mustang will go for just under $22,000 while a GT will cost you just under $29,000. Gas mileage isn’t too bad either for a sporty ride. It will get you about 15mpg city and 23 highway. It isn't exactly a "green" car, but it isn't too bad for a car that proves to be a powerful, fun, legendary ride. All in all, the new Mustang has gotten great reviews and you can be sure that new customers and loyal Mustang owners alike will be lining up for the new 2010 pony.

2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. Bring it On

2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor – Off Road Trucking at Its Finest

Top Speed: 100 mph

Acceleration: 0 to 60 in 8.3 seconds

Engine Size: 5.4-liter V-8 (6.2-liter V-8 in the Boss model)

Power: 310 bhp at 5000 rpm

Torque: 365 lb-ft at 3500 rpm

Fuel Economy: 14-mpg city/18-mpg highway

Price at Time of Writing: $38,995

When Ford unveiled the F-150 SVT Raptor, reviewers were skeptical about the truck’s potential as an off-road vehicle. However, this revolutionary vehicle literally knocked their socks off. Performance is better than expected as the car reaches 100 mph even when off-roading considering it is a street-legal 6000-pound vehicle. bmw X5 for sale

Excellent Suspension

While there is really no comparison between the regular F-150 and the Raptor, what really sets this truck apart from its predecessors and competition is the new suspension system. A Raptor is in very simple terms a wider stock F-150 with specialised suspension. The three-stage, internal-bypass shocks are by Fox Racing. new cars for sale

Off Road Capabilities

The newly designed suspension system combined with the truck’s upgraded drive train and electronic features make the Raptor perfect for off-road driving. On a regular road, the Raptor handles similarly to the regular F-150. However, take the truck off road and you will barely feel the difference. The suspension keeps the truck’s ride smooth and comfortable, even when navigating difficult terrain at high speeds.

In fact, some drivers feel the truck performs better off-road than on the road. The steering is accurate and the ride is smooth, even on rough terrain. With those 35-inch BFGoodrich tires you get good grip on all surfaces and the car rarely touches the ground. Simply press the off-road button and take the truck out on the sand. honda accord for sale

Huge Cosmetic Changes

The raptor looks like an off-road vehicle. Visually the headlights are the only item that looks similar in both cars. Other than that, everything from the hood to the tailgate has been redesigned. A new paint scheme and the popular bright orange color speak of the truck’s off-roading design.

Comfortable on the Road as Well

Some off road vehicles are monsters on the road, but the Raptor is not. No that much different from a regular F-150. This model is surely taller. Besides this obvious visual difference others are harder to spot. For a truck, it has relatively little road noise and tire roar, and the comfortable seating and contoured steering wheel make for a comfortable ride. However, it does feel heavy and underpowered at times, as the F-150 does. Some drivers will notice that the truck under-steers when g-forces are present. To be fair, these negatives are common in most trucks. On the good side most people will find driving this machine relatively simple.

If you are looking for a comfortable truck for day-to-day driving which can also throw sand in the wilderness then this is the car.

How To Purchase The Best Minivans

Virtually every household in America should have access to transportation of some sort, and if you have a wife or husband, two kids, and a German shepherd, it’s very likely that you are interested a minivan. Thanks to its size and versatility, the minivan is often considered to be a great family vehicle – great for moving around light cargo, picking up dirty kids from baseball practice, or even the occasional cross-country road trip. However, in this economic climate, a great number of families are holding off on buying the minivan they desperately want, even though it would benefit them greatly. So then, the question becomes, is it possible to purchase a trusty minivan at a reasonable price? The answer is a used minivan.

First of all, they occasionally come with a number of additional parts and accessories that don’t come with purchasing a new minivan off the showroom floor. An increasing number of minivan owners install add ons like CD players, GPS units, and even video screens, which come in handy on cross-country trips with the wife and kids. These enhancements are usually much higher quality than those offered by the original minivan manufacturer, and depending on when they were installed, also come with a good warranty.

In addition to extra features, choosing a used minivan is better for the environment. There are literally millions of vehicles in existence, and purchasing new only magnifies the environmental impact. By buying a used minivan, you are not adding to the number of vehicles winding up in landfills, and this is something you can feel good about.

Of course, most attractive reason anyone would buy a used minivan over a new one is the massive cost savings that can be had when buying used. A new vehicle can lower up to 25% the instant [it leaves the dealership~you drive it off the lot], which makes buying new a shaky investment. Think about investing ,000 into a stock, only to have it crash to ,000 moments later. So it makes sense that lots of families are purchasing used minivans.

So where are the best places to locate used minivans? One fantastic website is Used Minivans (http://usedminivans.org) – a handy and free resource dedicated to teaching people the basics of locating used minivans on the cheap. You’ll have access to a catalog of smart advice on how to locate, evaluate, and ultimately purchase your used vehicle. This site comes completely free of charge, but a short visit could end up saving you hundreds or even thousands of dollars on your next vehicle purchase.

So what have you got to lose? Point your browser to Used Mini Vans (http://usedminivans.org) and save your hard-earned money!

The Secrets Of How to Get an Amazing Ford Mustang For Very Little Cash

The Ford Mustang is the definition of the all-American muscle car. First built in 1964, the Form Mustang the embodiment of power, speed, and style. It’s no surprise that many top car publications regard the Mustang as one of the best sports cars on the planet. However, if you are looking to get a Ford Mustang, it might surprise you to learn that there is a way to save thousands of dollars on the Mustang you want. How ? By buying a used Ford Mustang.

Nowadays, buying a used Mustang rather than new one makes sense on several levels. One reason to buy a used Ford Mustang over a brand new one is the amazing amount of cash you will be saving. Given that new Ford Mustangs aren’t cheap to begin with, they become a mediocre investment when you think about how much value is deducted thanks to depreciation costs. Actually, a new car’s value can drop close to 25% the instant it is driven away from the dealership. Losing a quarter of the value of something is extremely disappointing, and by buying used, you are already sidestepping this huge drop in value. A lot of the time, sellers are offering their Mustangs at amazing discounts – discounts that are simply not available with a new vehicle.

Another great thing about used vehicles is that the previous owner will sometimes enhance their Mustang with aftermarket components, such as premium tires, enhanced brakes, or superior video systems. These parts are specially chosen by the previous owner and aren’t available from Ford, which means that you might be able to enjoy an enhanced Mustang driving experience for less dough.

Also, when purchasing a used Mustang, it’s very likely that you will be speaking directly with the previous owner. This is an advantage since you are able to question the owner about the vehicle, and since they have actual experience with it, they can give you recent information on how the vehicle runs and any caveats you should be aware of. Compare this to speaking to a salesman who hasn’t even driven the vehicle before and is simply attempting to close the sale. With a used vehicle, you can get qualified information from the seller and find out what to expect.

So where can you locate the best prices on a used Ford Mustang? You can spend a lot of time driving from used car lot to used car lot, but why trouble yourself? Instead, check out Used Ford Mustangs (http://usedfordmustangs.net), a wonderful place to start your quest for a used Mustang. Used Ford Mustangs features a bunch of insightful articles and secret tips on how to purchase used Mustangs at cheap prices. If you look hard enough, we’ve seen that it is actually possible to get a used Ford Mustang for under two grand if you know how!

A Peak at Some of the Most Popular Cars and the Reasons Behind It

There are so many different models of car around these days that its quite hard to compile a list of the best, especially when every person has their own favorite brand. But I will now compile a complete list of what I think are the best cars and the reasons why.

Ford Mondeo

The ford Mondeo has been around for years, ford have had their ups and downs in the business, but there is one thing that has always stayed true and that is that they have offered great cars at reasonable prices. The ford Mondeo is a power horse with all of the great features and functions that the top model vehicles have but at half of the cost.

Peugeot 206

If you are looking for a humble automobile or a first time car then the Peugeot 206 was emphatically a automobile to have to your name. Once again another very strong vehicle that will really not let you down, plus added benefits are that it is easy to run and affordable to insure.

Mercedes C220

If you are looking to get a more professional vehicle but are on a limited budget then I would consider the lovely Mercedes C220. If you have ever been lucky enough to drive a Mercedes, then you will realise that its probably the most comfortable drive you may ever have. I personally used to drive a Mercedes 190D and even that was luxury compared to some of the other vehicles that I have had. Mercedes jam pack their cars with top of the range features and although the downside may be that their parts are expensive, the reality is that the cars hardly every cause any trouble.

What is your favorite ever model car and why?

Superb used cars, Looking for a great BMW or Renault
