Friday, January 29th, 2010

When purchasing a Used Toyota Yaris, lets think about the superiority of a Toyota and the resale value for all Used Toyota Yaris, it’s not lets say, as good as purchasing a Used Chrysler in Gainseville but it does have an advantage over the competition.
The New Equator by Suzuki four cylinder series makes for a excellent choice as a cheap, light-duty work pickup, not as good as the Toyota Tacoma, mainly considering the better gas mileage. On the other hand, for those who want to use this pickup for more than just picking up the kids, the six cylinder is the perfect selection.
Making an whole bunch of horsepower, 6 cylinder series are up for almost every job, the 2009 Suzuki is equipped with unreal suspension and steering ability for every chore along with a very soft shifting automatic transmission.
The RMZ-4’s off-road suspension setup makes that model’s ride act a little more like a pickup. The 4WD series are capable of off roading, this truck has a remarkable amount of compression throughout the suspension, along with ten inches of road clearance.
The cheaper base Equator is stripped and outfitted with fifteen inch steel alloy wheels and bucket seats with a center console but not much else, A/C or a stereo system is standard. The top of the line series adds 16 inch aluminum rims, a rear slide glass, a tilt steering wheel, remote entry, all power accessories and comfortable cloth upholstery. Choosing the Sport gets you 17-inch aluminum wheels, a rhino coated bed liner and movable tie-down cleats in the bed.
The RMZ-4 provides chrome exterior trim, much stronger axles, an electric locking rearend, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, sixteen inch16 inch alloy wheels with meat hogs for tires, fog lamps, height and lumbar adjustments for the driver seat and metallic cabin highlights. The RMZ-4 Sport upgrades are a audio system with a CD changer, an auxiliary audio jack, satellite radio prep, and Bluetooth capabilities. Oddly enough, an aftermarket style navigation system is optional on all crew cabs but not available on the extended-cab Equators. Bluetooth is optional only on the RMZ-4 crew cab.

How To Purchase The Best Minivans

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Virtually every household in America should have access to transportation of some sort, and if you have a wife or husband, two kids, and a German shepherd, it’s very likely that you are interested a minivan. Thanks to its size and versatility, the minivan is often considered to be a great family vehicle – great for moving around light cargo, picking up dirty kids from baseball practice, or even the occasional cross-country road trip. However, in this economic climate, a great number of families are holding off on buying the minivan they desperately want, even though it would benefit them greatly. So then, the question becomes, is it possible to purchase a trusty minivan at a reasonable price? The answer is a used minivan.

First of all, they occasionally come with a number of additional parts and accessories that don’t come with purchasing a new minivan off the showroom floor. An increasing number of minivan owners install add ons like CD players, GPS units, and even video screens, which come in handy on cross-country trips with the wife and kids. These enhancements are usually much higher quality than those offered by the original minivan manufacturer, and depending on when they were installed, also come with a good warranty.

In addition to extra features, choosing a used minivan is better for the environment. There are literally millions of vehicles in existence, and purchasing new only magnifies the environmental impact. By buying a used minivan, you are not adding to the number of vehicles winding up in landfills, and this is something you can feel good about.

Of course, most attractive reason anyone would buy a used minivan over a new one is the massive cost savings that can be had when buying used. A new vehicle can lower up to 25% the instant [it leaves the dealership~you drive it off the lot], which makes buying new a shaky investment. Think about investing ,000 into a stock, only to have it crash to ,000 moments later. So it makes sense that lots of families are purchasing used minivans.

So where are the best places to locate used minivans? One fantastic website is Used Minivans (http://usedminivans.org) – a handy and free resource dedicated to teaching people the basics of locating used minivans on the cheap. You’ll have access to a catalog of smart advice on how to locate, evaluate, and ultimately purchase your used vehicle. This site comes completely free of charge, but a short visit could end up saving you hundreds or even thousands of dollars on your next vehicle purchase.

So what have you got to lose? Point your browser to Used Mini Vans (http://usedminivans.org) and save your hard-earned money!

Jeep And Chrysler Get Great Results

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

Chrysler may be feeling some discomfort in the United States, but overseas they are realizing some excellent results. According to a Chrysler spokesman, international sales are up 14 percent thru Aug of 2006 with fifteen straight months of month-to-month increases. The stories is even better in Western Europe. Chrysler reported an increase of 35.6% in August 2006 compared with the performance from a year ago, and a sales increase of 15.5% for the year-to-date through August 2006. According to JATO Dynamics, a market information company, Jeep sales were up 25% in Europe through August compared to 2005, a lot of the increase because of the excellent performances of the new Grand Cherokee and Chief . These provoking sales results have made Chrysler the 2nd quickest growing automotive group in Europe, 2nd only to Fiat, and Chrysler anticipates that world sales will account for 9% of total sales by 2007.

Looking at the sales numbers it is simple to see why the people at Chrysler were pumped up about the unveiling of their production version of the two-door Jeep Wrangler and four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for the 1st time in Europe at the lately held Paris Motor Show. The Paris Motor Show is a major event that’s held each 2 years. It’s a trend-setting showcase for the automobile industry around the globe and it attracts participants from all corners of the globe. The recently demo’ed Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited models get power from a new 2.8 litre diesel engine and feature a broad array of new off-road features. They can hit European dealer showrooms around April of 2006, and Chrysler feels they’ll be a top hit. Why shouldn’t we think them? They seem to have a superb grasp on the ECU market at the moment.

It is good that Chrysler, an Yankee automobile manufacturer, and Jeep are making themselves known round the world and realizing some fantastic results. Now if only we could get our hands on those diesel powered Wranglers here in the good ole’ USA. Then we all could be happy!.

Could Chrysler Firepower Steal Sales

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

Chrysler is toying around with the concept of building a vehicle that may go where no Chrysler moniker has gone before it: on the raceway. Sure, there were stock Newports and Cordobas that have been raced, but nothing that was “pure race material” has ever worn a Chrysler label. Dodge yes, but Chrysler no. That can all change if the Firepower is built. Read on and let’s have a look at what this hot looking vehicle is all about.

The U.S. Car shows throughout 2005 featured a number of great looking concepts. One of the automobiles, a Chrysler Firepower, drew robust interest from visitors. Based on this customer interest, the Firepower may go from idea to developing project if several DaimlerChrysler officials have their way.

Borrowing heavily from the Dodge Rattlesnake sport auto, the Firepower concept has the Corvette in its crosshairs. In fact, the Firepower is probably going to be a more luxurious version of the Snake , borrowing its engine, transmission, and entire platform. As you know, the Viper also competes with the Corvette.

Depending on which schematics Chrysler makes a decision to go with, the body itself may only be a touch different to the Viper. However, the concept car obviously shows the Firepower has its own skin, so it has still to be seen what the final mock up of the production version will look like.

Like the Viper, V10 power with 500+ h.p. will probably be standard with the Firepower. Beyond that, look for leather everything, a complex navigation and sound system, and real wood trim. Hey, for $80,000 you better get the real stuff!

We will not know until this Spring whether the Firepower will see the light of day. DCX may decide that the Firepower could thieve more sales from the Viper than the Vette, leading to the project being cancelled. Still, if the right design is selected the Firepower would hold it’s own in a tough market and complement the Viper not compete against it.

Chrysler Gives Its Okay To The Imperial

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

A venerable name in autodom is being resurrected and it will soon grace the body of a large, rear wheel drive luxury car. After a successful “concept car” debut at a pair of recent vehicle shows, the Chrysler Imperial will be built and is going to be in U.S. showrooms in 2010. Yes, it’s going to be a long wait for the Imperial’s return but the automobile must first await extra changes inside DaimlerChrysler before it can be built. Read on to find out more on the Imperial’s impending return.

The Chrysler Imperial which has been now making the rounds at various vehicle shows has been well received. Visitors have remarked favorably about the automobile’s Bentley like look as well as its gaping interior and luxury appointments. Currently, the brand has nothing larger or more splendid to supply buyers who might want to upgrade from the 300C, therefore Chrysler has been frequently losing buyers to more luxurious brands, something parent DaimlerChrysler [DCX] wants to stem.

The Imperial name can be traced all the way back to 1926 when Walter P. Chrysler decided to take on Lincoln and Packard with a luxury model all of its own. From its inception, the Imperial has always represented the head of the line vehicle for Chrysler and it has, at diverse times, been promoted as its own make. Various versions of the Imperial have shown up over time, with many of them being ultra lush versions of Chrysler’s New Yorker model.

The 2011 Chrysler Imperial will be similar in design to the concept car, but without the suicide doors. Chrysler put the special doors on the idea auto to make it easier for car show visitors to see into the vehicle. Still, reports from the company are indicating that the 22 inch wheels, Bentley grille, boxy body, and leather/wood trim would be included. Prices for the Imperial won’t be related for several more years, but it could retail for as high as $60,000 according to some reports. Currently, the apex of the line 300C maxes out at around $42,000.

So, why the hold up? Well, for one thing the Imperial program will be an additional cost for DCX. Currently, the company is in the midst of making its Mercedes line up more profitable and that involves the expense of updating several models. Based on the Mercedes “R Class” body, the coming Imperial is probably going to be built on a more modern version of the R Class platform. Both cars would arrive in dealer showrooms at the same time as 2011 models, hence the long lead time.

The Imperial concept sits on a frame with a 123 in. wheelbase. The car measures 214 long, much longer than the 300C. Reports are showing that the concept car dimensions are likely to be retained.

For Chrysler fans, the Imperial represents further strengthening of the Chrysler-Mercedes relationship. By trying a Mercedes platform, the Imperial can be built and will give Chrysler a much required product. With a standard V8 mated to a five or six speed automatic the car will certainly not be on the fuel efficient side. However, my best guess is that the car will also come optionally equipped with a thrifty Mercedes built turbo diesel, a first for any Chrysler car.

Chrysler 300C In The Luxury Market

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

As automakers go, developing well received models is a chore all by itself. When a model becomes a smash, as has the Chrysler 300C, the result is favorable press coverage, high purchaser satisfaction ratings, and a “halo” effect that may extend to the complete product. Chrysler’s 300C is a hit, but the German-American automaker isn’t stopping there. A stretched version of the auto is being developed, one that could find a following amongst enthusiasts, but only if the price is right.

So, why would DaimlerChrysler allow a stretched version of the 300C? For several reasons including:

The Limousine Market - though the 300C is not on the same level as the Lincoln City Automobile or Cadillac DTS, the automobile does struggle with the Ford Crown Victoria. Thus , taxi and limousine operators will be drawn to the stretched 300C as the vehicle gives its passengers the room that they need.

The Pursuit Market - The Ford Crown Victoria is the hottest police pursuit car followed by the Chevy Impala. Chrysler way back conceded this market when they give up building larger rear wheel drive automobiles. The stretched 300C could fit in nicely and give the automaker some extra sales to boost market share. Look for a likewise stretched Dodge Charger to also be built once 300C demand has been proven.

The Luxury Market - No, the 300C isn’t a luxury vehicle, but a model coming down the pike 3-4 years from now will be. Yes, the Chrysler Imperial will be returning and it, too, will be a stretched version of the 300C, but even longer and larger than the stretched version of the 300C. Don’t think for a moment that DaimlerChrysler will not be measuring demand for its new 300C to determine Imperial demand.

For the record, there are a few things that we know about the bigger 300C: the car will be stretched only by six inches and all of those gains will show up in the rear passenger area. In addition, Chrysler will not be building the stretched 300C, instead an outside supplier will handle the task of taking existing inches and redoing them.

Prices for the bigger 300C have not been finalized yet, but they may carry a premium of as much as $5000 over the shorter model. This is a concern, as the price may be more than what some livery drivers could explain. Maybe DaimlerChrysler will eat some of the expenses and hold the price down to a $1000 premium. If they do not, the company may a rude awakening and find requirement for the stretched 300C to be luke warm at best.
